Cremation

North's have a section of their display room devoted entirely to cremation. Jack and Sandie North fully explain the cremation process to every family that inquires about cremation. There are several options concerning cremation:

  1. Direct cremation. This is where the person is cremated without any final ceremony. This is the hardest type of cremation for the family because there is no opportunity for closure.

  2. Cremation with a memorial service. Here the family has a memorial service for their loved one. This can be at their home, church, or funeral home. This level provides the family with some closure and is recommended over the first choice.

  3. A traditional funeral service with cremation following. This level involves all the aspects of a traditional funeral including preparation of the body, visitation, and the funeral. Cremation follows the funeral. The entire family members have the opportunity for full closure which is important to their well being.

Families need to think about what they are going to do with the cremains afterwards. Their choices are burial, scattering, dividing the cremains, placing the cremains in an urn, or keeping the cremains at home. The choice is theirs to make.

Jack and Sandie North can offer any help the family needs.
