William (Bill) Vincent Egri 69, of Abilene, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011. A Memorial service will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 in North’s Memorial Chapel with Parker White officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 -7:30 p.m. at North’s Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange St. Bill was born May 27, 1942, in Tonawanda, New York to Vincent and Bernadine Egri. He proudly served his Country in the United State Air Force from 1959 ~ 1982. He married Jerline Cole on March 29, 1969 in Wichita Falls, Texas. After retiring from the Air Force while stationed at Dyess Air Force Base, they made their home in Abilene. Bill owned Abilene Car Wash and North Side Car Wash for many years. He worked for Winn-Dixie. He did contract delivery service for Barnes and Williams Pharmacy as well as National Central Pharmacy. Bill loved boating, fishing and hunting. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Jerline. One son, Andi Egri and wife Jennifer of Nebraska City, Nebraska. One sister, Nancy Kromer. Two grandchildren; Tristyn and Bricen.
