Albert Sidney Hanna 92, of Abilene passed away Monday, January 23, 2012. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in North’s Memorial Chapel with Dr. Herb Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Caps Cemetery, under the direction of North’s Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday in North’s Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange St.   Mr. Hanna was born December 16, 1919 in Lockney, Texas, to Sidney and Laura (Stockton) Hanna. After graduation he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married Lesta Stewart October 9, 1948 in Clovis, New Mexico. They moved to Abilene in 1968 where he worked for Fielder Lumbar Company until his retirement in 1980. He loved to farm, work with horses, fish but most of all he loved his family and friends. He was a very caring and humble man.   He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, four brothers and two sisters.   He is survived by three sons, Darrell Hanna of Abilene, Gerald Hanna and wife Connie of Weatherford and Mike Hanna of Amarillo.
