#1 Sherry Wasserstrom 2012-02-09 14:48 Doyle was the sweetest gentleman I have ever met. I visited with him several times in the past several years; getting to know him as my best friends neighbor while she lived in Abilene. Over the years I saw their friendship and bond grow very strong. He was a very special man, it was a privilege to have known him.

#2 PAM KIRBY DEWITT 2012-02-11 02:46 Mr. Plemons was one of the greatest men I ever knew. He was my elementary principal and friend. He would listen to you with his heart as well as his ears. His kindness to me will never ever be forgotten. Even into adulthood, he still remained a friend and mentor. Thank ;you for sharing him with all that came in contact with him over the years. May God bless you at this time. Quote

#3 John Lineweaver 2012-02-11 04:24 He was always Mr. Plemmons to me. He was a very understanding principal who paddled me far less than I deserved for fighting on the basketball court and other misdeeds. He was a kind and gentle man. Quote

#4 Jimmy McKinnon 2012-02-11 07:34 Mr Plemons was my principal at Bonham elementary. I had Tourettes and add before anyone knew what that was and he was always so sweet and patient with me during those years. The world lost a special man in Mr. Plemons and my prayers are with his family and friends. Quote

#5 Dick Turman 2012-02-11 10:54 Mr. Plemons was the nicest neighbor a family could have. We lived on Milford St. since 1984, and then moved a block over to Washington Blvd in the late 1990s. He always helped out with my kids school fundraisers and let my son do his lawn for a while. He was very patient and understanding. I always enjoyed talking to him. Just a really nice guy. Quote

#6 Jane Fisher 2012-02-11 17:15 I had the privilege of working with Mr. Plemons for 15 years. He was always a sweet, kind and considerate man. He definitely was a "gentleman" and he was also a gentle man. May God bless and comfort you in this time of loss. We WILL see him again someday. Quote

#7 Keri Cohen 2012-02-11 17:42 Such a wonderful man. He had the most gentle spirit and I can never remember him raising his voice. My heart goes out to his loved ones. He is with the Lord now. Of that, I have no doubt. AISD had a true gem in that man. Quote
