Obituary

Alicia "Yaya" Soliz 21 was called home to be with her Lord and Savior July 30 2011.   Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St .   Services will be Thursday August 4 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Porfirio Quintanilla Jr. officiating.   Burial will be held in Cedar Hill Cemetery .   Alicia was born on January 20 1990 in Abilene TX.   She graduated from Abilene High School in 2008.   She was a very loving and caring person.   She was a true servant of the Lord.   She truly believed that through Jesus Christ nothing was impossible.   She had a great love of children especially her nieces and nephews.   Alicia's life may seem too short to many but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.   She brought so much joy to everyone around her.   She left a great imprint in our hearts and will be dearly missed.   She is survived by her mother Aurelia Stokes; father Raul Soliz; grandmother Margie Stokes; sisters Anastasia Ortiz Alanna Guzman and husband Raymond Andreanna Garcia and husband Paul Aracely Urrabazo; brother Reuben Soliz; uncles Joe Stokes Jr. and wife Cassie John Stokes; nieces Amaya Mayorga Alexandra Guzman Arianna Guzman Alivia Guzman Nevaeh Garcia; nephews Samuel Garcia Joel Salazar Martin Salazar; cousins Joe Stokes III Jacob Stokes; and numerous relatives.   She is preceded in death by her grandfather Joe Stokes Sr. and nephew Raymond Guzman III.   Donations may be sent to Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union for Alicia Soliz Account #62778-2.
