Alva Mae "Tex" Jackson has gone to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023. Tex was born on January 21, 1925 to Charles and Helen Meadors. She was a long time resident of Abilene where she and her late husband raised their three sons and owned Pioneer Construction Company. Tex was very involved in her church, Southside Baptist, and considered each and every member of that church to be part of her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Jackson Sr, her eldest son, Robert B. Jackson Jr, and a great grandson, Parker Jackson. She leaves behind sons Daniel (and Debra), Charles (and Judy) and daughter in law, Georgia Jackson along with 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her and were blessed by her in many ways. Celebration of her life will be held at Southside Baptist Church on Saturday November 11, 2023 at 7pm visitation will be held Friday November 10, 2023 from 5-7pm at North's Funeral Home The family would like to thank the caring nurses and staff at Mesa Springs Healthcare and Hendrick Hospice, for caring and loving our mom.
