Amalia Bustos Palomo 99, of Abilene passed away Monday, November 18, 2024. Visitation will be held Thursday November 21, 2024 at North's Funeral Home from 5-7pm with a Rosary starting at 6PM. Funeral Services will be held Friday November 22, 2024 at 11AM at St. Francis Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Elmwood Memorial Cemetery.
Amalia was born November 11, 1925 in Jalisco Mexico to Maria Trinidad and Isidro Bustos. Amalia worked at Day Nursery of Abilene caring for infants for 34 years. She loved what she did and made many sisters in Christ who she loved dearly. After she retired Amalia would go on to volunteer at the Abilene State school until she was about 85 years old.
Amalia dedicated her life to her children, over the years Amalia had built a beautiful family that consisted of 10 children, 21 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She was a God fearing woman, who believed in God our Christ. Amalia loved to sing. She loved to play guitar which she was very proud to play, and loved her bird Blondie. Who she had for over 20 years. Amalia was known to have a green thumb, and she loved her plants. Everything she touched would grow beautifully.
Amalia was preceded in death by sisters; Maria Del Refugio Bustos, Francisca Bustos, Rosario Bustos, brothers; Salvador Bustos, and Enrique Bustos. great grandson; Nova Jimenez and granddaughter Michelle Davis
Left to cherish her memories are children; son, Juan Jose Palomo & Maria , son Andres Palomo , daughter Alejandrina Palomo, daughter Blanca Garza & husband Joe Garza , Rosalia Palomo, Salvador Palomo & wife Ana Palomo , daughter Cecilia Rister & husband Calvin Rister ,daughter Amparo Hooper & husband Manie Esquivel, daughter Frances Sauceda & husband Shawn Alderman , daughter Guadalupe Espinoza & husband Jesse Espinoza. brothers; Rafaela Bustos, and Jose Guadalupe Bustos. sisters; Maria Bustos, and Trina Bustos.
