Anita Ruth Goates 57 passed away April 23, 2021 at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene, Texas surrounded by her loving family. A Memorial Service in her honor with be Saturday June 12, 2021 at 2pm at North's Funeral Home, with Bro. Gary Lawrence officiating. Anita was born in Gorman, Texas on December 1, 1963 to Alexander C. "Ace" Goates and Ruth Holt Goates of De Leon, Texas. The family moved to Abilene, Texas in 1973. Anita graduated from Abilene High School. Anita loved all animals especially her beloved dogs and birds. She loved doing word puzzles and playing Solitaire on her computer. She always loved going to church and worshipping her God and Saviour. Anita was proceeded in death by her Maternal Grandparents Toy and Wilda Holt, her Paternal Grandparents Roy and Eulamae Goates, 8 uncles: Norman Goates, Louie Goates, James Vinson, Maurice Fields, George Holt, Terry Holt, J.C. Holt, and Jerry Killebrew and several beloved Cousins. Left to cherish Anita's memories are her parents Ace and Ruth Goates, her brother Rodney Goates and her sister Janice Goates all of Abilene. Her Aunts: Maedell Vinson, Diddy Fields, Judy Killebrew, Beulah Holt, and Delma Goates , one uncle Toy Wesley Holt, and several cousins.
