Anna M. Garrett, age 72 went home to the Lord on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Graveside services will be held at 1pm, Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Abilene City Cemetery with Rev. Christopher Neal officiating. Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Monday at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St., Abilene. Anna was born on August 24, 1948 in Abilene to Earl Garrett and Ruth Isaac Garrett and lived in the area her entire life. She worked as a caregiver at the Abilene State Supported Living Center and for Jordan Healthcare Services. Anna was a faithful member of the Antioch CME Church for over 45 years who loved to cook, garden and sew. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Chanel Deann Garret and her brothers, Earl Garrett Jr. and Jamie Garrett. Anna is survived by her children, Jerry Garrett and wife Teresa of Katy, Texas, Carla Middleton of Abilene, Stacey Garrett of Abilene and Cassandra Nix of Searsy, Arkansas; sister, Sandra Garrett-Neal of Dallas; brothers, Wayne Garrett of Dallas, Texas, Larry Garrett of Abilene, Billy Paul Garrett and wife Donna Kay of Dallas and 7 grandchildren.
