Anthony "Tony" J. Lightner, 40, of Abilene passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Anthony was born April 13, 1984 in Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska to Eleanor Lightner and later adopted by Roger Lightner. Anthony received his primary education from Misawa Air Base High and Prattville High schools. After High School he joined the United States Air Force and was enlisted for 12 before he was medically retired in September of 2015. He also attended the Community College of the Air Force and Bellevue University. Tony and his wife had their first date on January 1, 2006 and quickly fell in love and eloped on March 15, 2006. They celebrated 18 years of marriage in March of 2024 before his passing. In his spare time he loved to watch movies, play card and board games, go fishing, and spending time with his wife and children. He loved going to Port Aransas for family vacations.
Left to cherish his memories are: wife, Jennifer Lightner, children, James and Olivia Lightner, brother, Chris Lightner (Alexi Lightner), mother, Ellie Lightner, father, Roger Lightner, father-in-law, Bullett Manale, mother-in-law, Sharon Manale, grandfather, Jim Miller, grandmother, Georgia Stone, grandfather, Arthur Lightner, grandmother, Joyce Lightner, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life for Tony will be scheduled at a later date.
