Anthony Joel Serrano, 49, passed peacefully on April 7, 2026, in Abilene, Texas, surrounded by his loved ones. Known to everyone as Tony, he was born on October 27, 1976, in Bisbee, Arizona, to his mother, Melva Serrano. Tony was a dedicated oil field worker whose strong work ethic and resilience defined much of his life. He took great pride in providing for his family and approached his work with determination and integrity. Outside of work, Tony found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved playing softball with his men's ministry team, where he built lasting friendships and shared many cherished memories. On his days off, he could often be found fishing, finding peace and contentment by the water. Tony loved the Lord and held firmly to his faith throughout his life. Like many, he faced personal challenges along the way, yet he continued to carry a deep love for his family and a desire for peace and purpose. Tony is survived by his children, his mother, his siblings, and several nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his stepfather. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, and his love for his children. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, Tony's children would like to encourage you to donate, volunteer, or pray for those in addiction and homelessness, as well as the loved ones they leave behind.
