Antonio P. Araujo 71 of Abilene passed away Monday, July 29, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 10am Friday August 2, 2024 at St. Francis Catholic Church . Visitation will be held Thursday from 7:30-pm with Rosary at 8pm at North's Funeral Home Antonio was born May 11, 1953 in Del Rio, TX to Jovita Perez and Juan Igancio Araujo. Antonio received his elementary education from Del Rio public schools before moving to Abilene and finishing High school at Abilene Cooper. After High School Antonio worked in farming for several years before becoming a Master Butcher. He worked for HEB and retired after 20 years of employement. He also worked for Wild game processing. In his spare time he loved doing yard work, watching football, Fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Antonio was preceded in death by wife Gloria Araujo, parents Juan and Jovita Araujo, daughter Michelle Marie Araujo, and son David Rene Davilla. Left to cherish his memories are: children Melissa Herrera of Abilene, Angie Roberts (Corey) of Abilene, Elaina Pedroza of Abilene, Toni Stokes (Paul) of Abilene, Johnny Araujo (Valerie) of Austin, TX. Nichole Araujo of Abilene, Victoria Araujo (Dorian Tamez), of Abilene and sister Maria Arrellano of San Antonio, TX. 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
