Archie D Barnes of Abilene passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at his home . Funeral Services will be held Tuesday August 11, 2020 at 11am at North's Funeral Home. viewing will be held from 12-5pm Monday August 10 at the Funeral Home Archie was born December 10, 1942 in Weldon, TX to Lee Etta Pullin and Elisha Barnes Sr. Archie received his primary education from Weldon schools. He moved to Abilene in 1976 and worked and retired from Dr. Pepper. Archie loved hanging and spending time with his family, he loved gardening and listening to music. He was also a 33rd degree Master Mason. Archie was preceded in death by parents Elisha Barnes Sr. and Lee Etta Barnes, 5 sisters Etta Jean Terry, Etta V. Jefferson, Mary Ann Johnson, Ola Mae Sloan, Lorine Landor, 3 brothers; Milton Barnes,Melvin Barnes, and Henry Lee Barnes Left to cherish his memories are: brother; Elisha Barnes Jr. and wife Ernestin of Hale Center TX, sisters Nannie Lee Barnes of Abilene, Cora Lee Allen of Abilene, Corrine Colbert and husband Nelson of Abilene, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and many friends.
