Atanacio DeLeon 68 of Abilene passed away Friday January 30 2009. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the IOOF cemetery with Dr. Herb Wood officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Mr. DeLeon was born in Abilene on November 24 1940 to Severo and Juanita DeLeon. He worked for A-1 Core and Metal for several years. He was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Antonio DeLeon. He is survived by his wife Rosa; three sons: John DeLeon Leon DeLeon and Steve DeLeon all of Abilene; two daughters: Juanita Reyes of Abilene and Esther Burch of Hawley; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
