Austin David Webb 82 of Merkel died Friday June 13 2008 in Abilene Texas. Funeral Service will be Tuesday June 17 at 10:00 am at North's Memorial Chapel with David Cason officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 - 7:30 PM at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange St. Austin was born August 8 1925 in Barnhart Texas to Thelma and Royce Webb. He married Mary K. Webb April 1 1954 in Coleman. He worked in the oilfield trucking business. He was an avid square dancer for over forty years and he loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his parents wife stepson grandson and brother. Survivors include two sons Dennis Webb and wife Richelle of Merkel and David C. Webb; one daughter Mary Jane Christensen of Abilene; three brothers Lawton Webb of Fourke Arkansas Kenneth Webb of Austin and John Webb of Proctor; fourteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
