Barbara J. Herrera-Daniel 65 of Abilene passed away November 30 2012 at Hendrick Medical Center after a long and courageous fight with diabetes. A rosary service will be held at 5:00 pm Sunday with visitation following at 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church with Deacon Marc Main officiating.  Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery. Barbara was born to Cristobal and Barbara Herrera on January 31 1947. Barbara worked her entire life in the restaurant business at Farolita's and then Casa Herrera. She is survived by her husband Dwayne Daniel of Abilene; two daughters Sophia Rosales and husband Tony of Abilene; Victoria Dennis of Dallas; one son Rolando Solis and his wife Erica Tonche; four grandchildren Andria and Alyssa Rosales and Jacob and Jonathon Solis; four step-children six step-grandchildren; three brothers Cris Sam and Johnny Herrera; two sisters Lupita Villalovos and Helen Avila and a host of nephews nieces cousins and other family and friends. Barbara loved all her family and was loved by them. She will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Paul Herrera.
