Barbara Hobbs 80 of Abilene passed away May 26 2009. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 10: 00 a.m. in North's Memorial Chapel with David Cason officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St. Mrs. Hobbs was born June 21 1928 to Burl and Willie Smith in Albany Texas. She retired from the United States Postal Services after 32 years of service. She is survived by a son and daughter; Shari Seals and Larry Hobbs. Two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
