Barbara Gean Mays, age 61 went home to her Lord on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, August 24th at North's Funeral Home in Abilene. Funeral services will be at 10am Friday at North's with Rev. Andrew Penns officiating. Barbara was born on August 15, 1962, in Montgomery, Alabama to Bob and Alberta Mays. She enjoyed listening to music, reading books and nature. Barbara loved spending time with her family, playing games and cooking for them. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Alberta Mays; brother, Bob Mays, Jr."Big Jr." and her grandparents. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Harold Crisp; daughter Brittany Denise Wright and husband, Craigory; grand daughter, MaCayla Wright; sister, Pearlene Moore and husband, Gene; brothers, Abraham Mays and wife, Brenda, Eugene Mays and wife, Doneta; nephews, Anthony Watkins and wife, Daya and John Watkins; step sons, Julius Crisp and wife, Amanda, Terrence Crisp and wife, Toya; special friends and family, Katie Gonzales, Tammy Wall, Virginia Pena and many grand kids, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
