Bennie Lee Angela Walker, age 62, passed away on May 10, 2026, in Abilene. Born in Sweetwater, Bennie attended school in Sweetwater and spent much of her life there working various jobs over the years, primarily in housekeeping. She was known for her caring spirit, hardworking nature, and the love she shared with those around her. Bennie enjoyed crafting, puzzles, word searches, and crossword puzzles. She especially loved spending time with her friends and family and cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Davevion Walker of Abilene, Texas; Jamacia Smith (Clifton Stanley) of California; and Bennie Smith (Thomas Davis) of Abilene, Texas. She is also survived by her four beloved grandchildren: Aria, Marley, Thomas, and Blythe. Bennie is also survived by her siblings: Hazel Heath of Sweetwater; Loeta McCoy (James) of Sweetwater; Tina Gaskin (Gerald) of Houston; Kenny Walker of Sweetwater; Kayla Walker of Sweetwater; Shawn Walker of Sweetwater; Toni Walker (Ricky) of Sweetwater; Bobby Walker of Sweetwater; and Katrina Walker of Cisco, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, McKinly Walker and Dorothy Ann Heath, and her brother, Pat Green. Bennie will be remembered for her loving heart, kind spirit, and devotion to her family and friends. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
