Bertha Beaver-Turner,. 72 of Abilene received her Heavenly Crown, Thursday January 14, 2021. A Life Celebration service will be held Thursday January 21, 2021 at 11am at the King Solomon Baptist Church located at 1050 Minda Ln. in Abilene TX, with burial to follow at the Trent Cemetery. Bertha Turner, 1st Born of 12 Children, affectionately known as T-Bertha, Hercules, Aunt T-Bertha, Sis. T, was born April 9, 1948 in Merkel, TX. to parents Johnny Beaver and Susana Mays-Beaver. She received her primary education from Sweetwater public schools before transferring to Trent where she graduated. Aunt T-Bertha, mother of 4 and adopted mother and granny to all, married John Robert turner in 1966 and to this union Isabella Matthews, Sheila Jay, John Turner and Marcus "Mikee" Turner was born. She loved watching Soap Operas , and game shows like Price is Right, Family Feud, and Wheel of Fortune! She loved to Cook for family, friends and church events, and could make a Mean Broccoli Cheese Casserole. Bertha Turner, was a faithful member of New Fellowship Baptist Church for 34 years, and the church mother for 6 of those years, under Rev. Dr. J.W. Webbs, where she served on various auxiliaries, including; Church Mother, Usher, Nurse's Aid, Choir President, Mission President Deaconess, and she was definitely a prayer warrior. She was a women of great faith in Jesus Christ. She Joined King Solomon Baptist Church in 2018, under Dr. H.T. Mclendon, and served joyfully there as an usher. Her joy was being with family, and babysitting the great-gran babies. Bertha was preceded in death by parents Susana Mays Beaver and Johnny Beaver, sisters Glenda Sue Beaver, Shirley Beaver, brothers; Johnny "George" Beaver, Billy Lee Beaver, Elvis Beaver, Joseph Beaver, and Charles James Beaver. Left to cherish her memories are children: Isabelle Matthews of Abilene, Sheila Jay of Abilene, John Turner of Abilene, Marcus "Mikee" Turner and wife Kim of Lafayette La. Siblings: Herbert Beaver (Janet), Gilbert Beaver (Linda) Richard Beaver (Cindy) Benjamin Beaver(Veronica). Maternal Aunts Elizabeth Roberson, and Gertrude Wyatt. Grandchildren: Regenald Turner, Pastor Jeremy Jay (Ebony), Kieshia Matthews, Lakendra Matthews, Destanee Turner, Tayvia Turner, Reggie Shelton, Kyron Turner, Marcus Jevon Turner, Jace Joshua Turner, Kevin Jevon Turner, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
