Betty Neal Cochran, 87, of Abilene, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday in North's Memorial Chapel with Stan Burge officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Fairview Cemetery, Wellington, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Saturday in North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street.
Betty worked at Dillard's Department Store for many years. She was member of the Methodist Church. She married James W. Cochran in 1947. They were married for fifty years. She loved to play Bridge and golf. Once while playing golf, she lost her ball only to realize that she had made a hole in one!
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jimmy Cochran, son, Neal Cochran, sister, Sallye Tinsley.
She is survived by her son, Scott Cochran and wife Rhonda of Amarillo. Daughter, Carole Tallmon and husband Eric of Abilene. Grandchildren, Nathan Cochran and wife Bri of Sweetwater, Regan Pendley and husband Larry Davis of Cedar Park, J.B. of Abilene and Jordan Kennedy of Abilene. Four great-grandchildren, Judith and Jonathan Cochran, Shannon and Brooklyn Davis.
