Billie Merel (Payne) Fields, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. Born on December 24, 1953, in Abilene, Texas, to Nell Francis Bean and Earlie Payne Sr., Billie was a gift to all who knew her. Raised in Llano, Texas, Billie attended the Llano public school system. She went on to devote her life to caring for others, working as a private caregiver for many years. Her heart overflowed with generosity, and she had a natural gift for making everyone feel welcome. Billie was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends, cooking delicious meals, hosting gatherings, and creating memories that will be treasured for years to come. Billie was a member of United Family Faith Church under Pastor James Moore. Billie is survived by her devoted mother, Nell Gee; her children, Bernard Payne, Stacy Payne, Jermaine Moultrie, Jamiha Moultrie, and Nikeesha Shaw; her brothers, Earlie (Bubba) Payne, Larry Payne, and Derwin (Naka) Jackson; and her sisters, Gene, Lola Mae , and Diane. She was the proud grandmother of Shayden, Jayden, Reyton, Shanelle, Janiya, Ashton, Johnathan, Erica, Ebony, Larry Jr., Avery, Kendall, Jermaine Jr., Jenesis, Journey, Jream, Kenneth, Greg, Kyleon, Anfernee, and Ava. Her cherished best friend over 50 years, Doris (Elaine) Smith, lovingly known as "Scrappy," along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family and friends, will forever hold Billie's memory close to their hearts. She was preceded in death by her father, Earlie Payne Sr.; her stepfather, Willis J. Gee Jr.; her sister, Sonya Rene Jackson; and her brother, Tyrone S. Jackson. Billie's beautiful soul, gracious spirit, and unwavering love for those around her will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
