Billie Louise Ragsdale, age 93, went home to her Lord on Wednesday, August 9th, 2023.Graveside services will be held at 2pm, Friday, August 11th at the Hylton Cemetery with Ron Allman officiating. Billie was born on June 23rd, 1930 in Sweetwater to John and Rosa Patterson. She attended Sweetwater High School until her Jr. year when she left school to get married. She returned to finish high school and graduated from Blackwell High School in 1954. While a student at Blackwell High she served as president of the Blackwell PTA and was a Girl Scout Troop leader. She went on to attend bible college at Christ for the Nations in Dallas and became an ordained Evangelical Minister. Billie worked for the US Department of Agriculture as a field agent who's job it was to gather information from local farmers about their crops. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Charmey Ely, and her brother JR Patterson. Billie is survived by her children, John Ragsdale and wife, Annette of Kermit, Texas and Desiree Lucas and husband, Larry of Cisco, Texas; sister, Mary Watkins and six grandchildren.
