Obituary

Billy J. Cadwell "BJ" of Abilene passed away Friday, June 3, 2022 in Abilene, Texas . Funeral Services and visitation will be held on June 11,2022 at 11:00am at North's Funeral Home at 242 Orange St. with burial and military honors to follow at Elliott-Hamil Cemetery.

Billy Joe Cadwell, better known to most as B.J., was born on June 4, 1933 in Munday, Texas to James Paul Cadwell and Jessie (Tomlinson) Cadwell. B.J. received his primary education from Modesto High School in Modesto, California. After High School, he enlisted in the Air Force. His Air Force career would take him to England, where he met the love of his life, Maureen (Meats) Cadwell. They were married for almost 48 years until Maureen's passing in December of 2003.

He was also preceded in death by son, Kevin Richard Cadwell and grandson, Logan Paul Heathcock.

He is survived by son; Glenn Cadwell of Modesto, California and Glenn's children Jalenn, Nicholas, Tori and Brook daughter; Vicki Perry and husband Alex and their 3 children Ryan, Gina and Kyle of Sacramento, California daughter; Dawn Wilbur and husband Brent of Abilene, Texas and children Stevie Rae Kiser and husband Ryan of Edmond, Oklahoma, Nicholas Silva and fiance April of La Luz, New Mexico and Kristi Wilbur of England daughter; Terri Leigh Cadwell of Abilene, Texas and children Lauren Brusati and husband Matt of Great Falls, Montana, Alec Michael of Kansas City, Kansas and Morgan Bayleigh of Abilene, Texas and 11 great-grandchildren.
