William "Billy" R. Harbin Jr. 30 of Stamford passed away Friday February 15 2008. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Eastland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange St. Billy was born July 23 1977 to William and Nancy Harbin in Eastland Texas. He was a graduate of Eastland High School. He served in the United States Navy. While being a chef at Denny's he met the love of his life. Misty Reid they both became paramedics and together passionately served the citizens of Abilene with empathy and genuine concern for patients and families. Billy loved all of his friends family coworkers and EMS. Billy was a well known and respected professional in the Abilene EMS system and all affiliates and related organizations. He was a great father mentor and friend but as a human being there was none better. Billy worked hard every shift and with every patient. It didn't matter if it was a heart attack or stubbed toe. He always treated each and every patient with integrity passion and empathy. We all love you Billy and you will be missed but never forgotten He was preceded in death by Harry Grady grandparents Ray and Fay Harbin. Aunt Cindy Seago. He is survived by Misty Reid.
