Billy Dan "Danny" Rose, 67, of Clyde, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 8, 2024 at home surrounded by loved ones. Danny was born in Abilene, Texas to Marion Randolph "Jack" Sr and Clarice Ora (Stevens) Rose, on July 9, 1957. Danny found the love of his life at the young age of 11 when he met Selene Fowler, the little girl who lived down the street. They were married October 9, 1985 in Abilene. Danny joined the United States Army in 1974 at the age of 17. After leaving the military, Danny spent decades as a freight hauler for various companies. We will fondly remember his sense of humor, the sound of his laughter, his west Texas drawl, and the deep love he had for his family. Danny is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Marion Randolph Rose Jr, John Wayne Rose, and Robert Charles Rose; two sisters-in-law: Margie (Davis) Rose and Elizabeth (Woolf) Rose; and a nephew, Richard Ryan Rose. Danny is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Selene (Fowler) Rose; daughter, Stephanie Rose, of Clyde; son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Darla (McGregor) Rose, of Abilene; five grandchildren: Daniel Rose and Zachary Rose, of Clyde, Jacob Rose, of Denton, Landry and Casey Rose, of Abilene; six brothers: James Ronald Rose and Michael David Rose, both of Abilene, Robin Richard Rose and wife Mary, of Fort Worth, Edward Ray Rose and wife Roxanne, of San Angelo, Terry Lynn Rose, and Thomas Eugene Rose, both of Abilene; one sister, Tamara Sue Rix and husband Ronnie, of Burleson; one sister-in-law, Tracey Rose, of Hawley; two "adopted" grandchildren: Jenavive McEachern and Zachary Houston; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loved ones. Danny is loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Antao Du, Dr. Mustapha Khalife, Hendrick Hospice Care, and all of the nurses at Hendrick Cancer Center.
