Bobbie Cowart, age 86 went home to her Lord on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023, surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, December17th at 2pm at Hawley Cemetery in Hawley with James Clifford officiating. Bobbie was born on March 23rd, 1937 in Sweetwater, Texas to Dimmit and Frankie Hurd and lived in the area her entire life. On september 21st, 1953 she married the love of her life, Buddy Cowart and together they raised four children. Before Buddy's passing they raised chickens and ran a newspaper route together. Bobbie liked going to flea markets and had a reputation as a fierce haggler. She was always on the go, and loved visiting friends and family in the area. Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Buddy Cowart; sisters, Nita Parker and Jeanette Helms; brother, Doug Hines; children, Paula Ledbetter, Billy Cowart and grandchildren, Stormy Cowart and Beau Clifford. Bobbie is survived by her children, Carla Clifford and her husband, Johnny, Richard Cowart and his wife, Debbie, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.
