Bobby J. Graham 80 slipped quietly away on Tuesday March 20 2012 in Abilene after a short illness. He was in hospice care at a local hospital. A graveside service will be held Saturday March 24 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street with David Ray of River of Life Church officiating.
Bobby was born June 10 1931 in Potosi Texas where his family had lived for many years. Bobby moved to Trent Texas with his family then graduated from Trent High School in 1951. He made the Air Force a career after retirement he sold real estate.
Bobby J was preceded in death by his parents Gurley and Ida Woody Graham; two brothers Onis Graham of Trent and Darrell Graham of Sweetwater; one sister Dora Graham Jones of Andrews.
Bobby is survived by a son Randy Graham of Pecos Texas; a daughter Kristi Graham Stevens of Forney Texas; one sister Alpha Graham Williams of Abilene; a beloved brother Van Graham who faithfully cared for him during his last years; five grandchildren Trent Tye Trey Sam and Ryan and a sister-in-law Margaret Graham of Sweetwater; and nine nieces and nephews.
Bobby J. joined the Air Force and was a flight engineer. The Air Force summoned him to develop a system that would give more power jet engines which he did successfully.
People who watched his high school football career said he was fearless on defense. Bobby always had a lot of energy for life and anything he undertook. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
