On the morning of March 18 2009 the Lord took Brenda's hand and led her to her heavenly home to join her loving husband Jim McElrath her parents Leo and Pearl Ivy and her grandparents Papa and Maw Goree. As her wishes were to be cremated a memorial service will be held March 28 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel with Reverend Robert Wingrove pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Stamford officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Interment will follow at Elmwood Mausoleum. Brenda was born April 24 1943 in Stamford Texas to Leo and Pearl Ivy. Brenda's greatest blessings were her family friends and her dog Sassie. She was a very loving and generous person who will be missed greatly. Brenda is survived by her daughter Kim Haramut and husband Mike of Georgia granddaughter Heather Jiske and husband Jason of Georgia grandson Jason Haramut of Georgia brother Kenneth Ivy and wife Betty of Aubrey Texas and numerous nieces nephews and cousins. She also left behind her extended family Anna Dell Farr and husband Henry Rodriguez Margie Cornelius Marilyn Smith and a host of friends. Brenda's greatest desire was for everyone to know how much joy happiness and love that each of you brought into her life and how much she loved you all.
