Brenda Joyce Townsend-Kellum of Abilene passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at Her home . Funeral Services will be held at Galilee Baptist Church 10:00 AM Saturday, November 6th, 2021. Visitation will be held Friday, November 5, 2021, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at North's Funeral Home. Brenda was born March 22, 1964 in Abilene, TX to Erma Townsend and Robert Townsend Sr.. Brenda received her primary education from Abilene Public schools, graduating from Abilene Cooper in 1982. After High School she started a career in Health care and was employed at the Abilene State School for over 20 years. She was a devoted nurse who care for many over the years and created life long relationships with her patients. She was a phenomenal hairstylist, who loved to do hair. In her spare time she loved thrifting, Dancing and playing Bingo. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church, she absolutely loved dressing up and going to church to hear the word of God. Brenda was preceded in death by mother Erma Townsend, and brother Robert Townsend Jr. Left to cherish her memories are: Husband Johnny "Moe" Motton of Abilene son, Jamaall Lee Kellum (Melissa) of Arlington, Texas; daughters; Shareca Kellum (Marquel Neal) of Irving, Texas, Ashley Motton of Orlando Florida, Centrika White of Hopkinsville Kentucky, father, Robert Townsend Sr. (Clara) of Abilene, sisters; Wanda McDougald of Fayetteville NC, Jacqueline Townsend of Abilene, Texas, Dejuana Hamilton (Brian) of Mansfield Texas, Aisha Townsend of Augusta Ga, LaDonna Cummings, and Sheila Cummings both of Austin, Texas, sister in law Janet Townsend, of Abilene, Texas Brothers; Terry Townsend of Austin, Texas, Raheem Townsend of Abilene, Texas, Tracy Carrion of Atlanta, Georgia, Aunt Clara Williams of Killeen, Texas, Aunt Jacqueline Grant of Abilene, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends and her Pet Honey who she loved dearly.
