Brenda Gale Jones Martin, 74, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of October 18, 2016 at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene, Texas. Graveside Memorial Service will be held October 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Loraine Cemetery with Benny Owens Officiating. Brenda was born October 21, 1941 in Colorado City, Texas to Jim and Elwanda Beach Jones. She married the love of her life, Robert Gene Martin June 27, 1958 in Colorado City, Texas. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Elwanda Jones, her spouse Gene Martin, her brother Gary Jones, her grandson Manning Martin and a great niece Brylenn Stone. She will always be remembered for the love she had for her family and the ability to always handle any situation that may arise. She was a homemaker that loved to cook. In her spare time you could find her crocheting or reading a Louis L'Amour book. She is survived by her children Monty Martin and wife Linda of Kerrville; Teresa Martin of Abilene; Marty Martin and wife Kristie of Brady. Her brothers Kelly Jones of Longview, Barry Jones of Colorado City, Lucky Jones and wife Cyndi of Colorado City and her sister Gay Don Jones of Colorado City. Eight grandchildren Sheila Terrell, Kim Manuel, Misty Martin, Ciciley Weise, Michaela Martin, Jarron Kirklin, Kristen Martin & Donald Martin. Nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will be accepting visitors on Friday, October 28, 2016 6:30-8:30 at the home of Jeremiah and Lisa Wood. Memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice Unit in Abilene, Texas.
