Brenda May Mims of Abilene passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Visitation will be held Monday, November 10, 2025, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM at North's Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 11:30AM. Burial to follow at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00PM. It is with shattered hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, Brenda May Mims. Born July 19, 1935 in Hemel Hempstead, England and this year celebrated her 90th birthday with friends and family. She meet our Dad who was in the Air Force at a military dance. They fell in love and married, She would have three children and eventually two wonderful son-in-laws and one fabulous daughter-in-law. Her first born, Linda McAlister and husband Brad McAlister of Arlington, TX, Her second child, Tracy Conover and husband Craig Conover of Fredericksburg, VA. And the baby of the family Martin Mims and wife Shanna Mims of Abilene, TX. With time, her family grew with the addition of three grandchildren, two girls and one boy. Danielle Tenbusch and husband Paul Tenbusch of Coppell TX , Jorden Bazar and husband Jonathan Bazar of Plattsmouth NE and Jace Mims and wife Ireland Mims of Flower Mound, TX. Great grandchildren came as time passed. The Tenbusch's were blessed with Ethan and Kylie. We will miss you dearly Mom and God's speed!
