Bruce Stephen McGee, the beloved son of Cornell Sula McGee, Sr. and Geneva Odessa Johnson was born on March 16, 1948, in Abilene, Texas. Bruce's bold personality and adventurous spirit will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Bruce was always ready for a rousing game of dominoes, to watch the Dallas Cowboys, and for spending time with family. He lived life on his own terms with resourcefulness and a strong sense of self until he passed away on August 13, 2026.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, longtime love and companion Joan Coffee, daughter Tracy Ann Myles, stepson Terrance Stevenson, siblings, Cornell Sula McGee Jr., Connie Sue Hamilton and sisters-in-law Linda McGee and Myrtle McGee.

He is survived by stepdaughters Tammy Stevenson and Tyra Stevenson; grandchildren Marissa Foster, Brandashley Myles, Prima Guyton, Jessica Guyton, Skylar Norman, Courtney Lockridge, Morgan Sheppard, Meagan Payne, Terrance Stevenson, Jr., and Lace Stevenson; siblings Edwin McGee, Joy Francis McGee, and Patricia Dewberry; and brother-in-law Earl Hamilton. Bruce will also be missed by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The visitation will be held at North's Funeral home, 242 Orange St in Abilene, TX on Friday, August 28, 2026, 12:00-2:00 PM. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM. The repast will be held at Antioch CME Church, 801 Plum St, Abilene, following the service.
