Brynn Aleta Dowdy Page Jones; formerly of Abilene, Texas, died at her home in Arlington, Texas, Sunday August 30, 2015 after a brief illness. Services will be held in North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be Friday, September 4, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street.
Brynn was born March 3, 1945 at Hendricks Memorial Hospital. She attended Abilene public schools graduating in 1964. Several years later she attended Abilene Christian University earning a B.S. in Nutrition, in 1998. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and loyal friend. She was known for her sense of humor, and often kept us laughing. She was imaginative and creative and enjoyed making art from found objects. She loved music and reading biographies. She loved Dolly Parton in particular and country music in general. Her goal in life was to be a Christian, to love and take care of her family as best she could.
She is predeceased by her parents; Cleo V. Thornton and Bivins A. Dowdy.
She is survived by her children, Ryan M. Page and wife Kelly, of Abilene, Texas, Clinton E. Page, of Gatesville, Texas, Amanda K. Majors, and husband Clint of Arlington, Texas, and Andrew T. Page, of Abilene, Texas, and grandchildren, Gabriel Majors, and Corrina Majors, both of Arlington, Texas.
Brynn is also survived by her 5 siblings; Layne A. Dowdy, of Abilene, Texas, Ron K. Dowdy and wife Vicky, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Nalene D. Hughes, and husband Willard of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Glade E. Dowdy and wife Carolyn of Fort Worth, Texas, and Clint W. Dowdy and wife Kathy of Allen, Texas, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends and other extended family.
All of us who knew and loved her realize we have lost a precious treasure and will sorely miss her, but we are comforted by the knowledge we will be re-united with her in our Father's house.
