Carimon Moseley Ross Jackson 93 of Abilene passed away Wednesday August 27 2008 at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10:00 A.M. August 30 2008 at Southwest Park Baptist Church with Brother Mike Woodard and Carimon's nephew Dennis Moseley officiating. Burial will be beside her first love Cecil M. Ross at Antioch Cemetery in Brown County at 2:30 P.M. under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday August 29 2008 from 6:00-7:30 P.M. in North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange Street. Carimon was born September 15 1924 in Blanket Texas to Mark and Dora Moseley. She attended the Blanket School District and graduated from Blanket High School. She married Cecil M. Ross July 6 1936 in Comanche Texas and they were married until his death in 1971. During that time they welcomed daughter Dora Nell June 13 1938 in Brownwood Texas whom Carimon taught how to play the piano at the age of three. Carimon worked at Levines' for twenty-five years as a sales lady. She then worked as a secretary for Howard Payne University for ten years and retired. In 1977 she married Jay Jackson until his death in 1981. At age 71 she moved to Abilene to live with her daughter and late son-in-law Jarrell H. Finch. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Brownwood and Southwest Baptist Church when she moved to Abilene. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Cecil M. Ross; husband Jay Jackson; brother and sister-in-law Virgil and D'Alva Moseley; and brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Alma Moseley. She is survived by: daughter Dora Nell Finch; grandson Lanny Finch and wife Deborah of Abilene Texas; grandson Randale Finch and wife Dawn of Ferndale Washington; great-grandchildren Eric Tawny Dawn Christopher Ashley Richard Joshua and a great great-grandchild.. She is also survived by: step daughter and son-in-law Tommy and Shirlene Frost of De Leon Texas; step-son and daughter-in-law Bill and Roxie Jackson of Waco Texas; four step-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Carimon found joy in singing dancing women's basketball the Dallas Cowboys playing Skip-bo shopping taking drives and going out to eat. She also loved hearing her grandchildren sing and perform playing the piano and traveling especially when traveling by car to Branson Nashville New Orleans Las Vegas Washington State and several other places throughout the country. Carimon will be remembered as a women who loved life loved to laugh and loved the Lord. The family wishes to thank Dr. James Wray and to give a special thanks to the nurses at the Hospice Unit at Hendrick Medical Center for their care and services.
