Carla May Hobbs was granted her angel wings on December 21st, 2020 while at home in Abilene, Tx following recent health struggles. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, December 28th at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St., Abilene from 5pm to 7pm. Graveside services currently are not scheduled. Carla was born in Abilene, Tx on March 23, 1959. During Carla's 61 years, her life was filled with many up's and down's which allowed her to meet and touch many lives. Carla was a health care provider and cosmetologist prior to retiring, to cat home care, with Dragonfly and Dodge. Carla enjoyed visiting the library, Abilene zoo, shopping, Mexican food and movies. Carla also enjoyed attending Trinity Baptist Church where she had been a member since her childhood days. She was preceded in death by her dad Bill Hobbs; mom Beulah May Davis; brothers, Doak Allan Hobbs and Willie Hobbs. Carla is survived by her daughter La Vonta Harper of Brady, Texas; siblings, Kirk Hobbs and wife Sharon on Muscat, Oman, Susan Hobbs of Abilene, Bill Mack Hobbs of Abilene, Robert Hobbs of Oklahoma City and Danny Hobbs of Oklahoma City; nieces, Klair Freeseman of Los Angeles, California and Madalyn Stoeppleman of Fort Worth; nephew, William Jake Hobbs of Washington, DC and 3 grandchildren.
