Carlos Lopez, 72, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 28, 2025, at St. Vincent Catholic Church. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, with a rosary beginning at 7:00 PM, at North's Funeral Home Chapel, 242 Orange St, Abilene, TX 79601. Carlos was born on August 4, 1952, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Juana and Leocadio Lopez. He was a hardworking man who loved being outdoors, working with his hands, and helping others. He always had a way of making people laugh. Carlos wanted what was best for his children, teaching them the values of hard work and perseverance. He enjoyed barbecuing, spending time at Lowe's, and most of all, being with his family, who meant the world to him. Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, Juana and Leocadio Lopez, and his sisters, Catalina Lopez and Sara Lopez. He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Lopez, and his children: Juana Lopez (Juan), Melisa Lopez (Jorge) of Mexico, Carlos Lopez Jr. (Betina), Melinda Garcia (Adam), and Fernando Lopez (Emily), all of Abilene, Texas. He is also survived by his brothers: Agustin Lopez and Jose Lopez of Abilene, Texas, Galdino Lopez, Vicente Lopez of Mexico; his sisters: Leovarda Lopez, Leticia Lopez, Roberta Lopez, and Auxilio Lopez of Mexico; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Emmanuel, Guillermo, Lilliana, Carlos Miguel, Alejandro, Mariah of Abilene, Texas, Citlali, Yesenia, Jorge, Juana, Guadalupe, and Dulce of Mexico, and great-grandchildren Emiliano Lopez of Abilene, Texas, Flor, Alexa, Regina, Alejandra, Sara, Misael, Ariadna, and Emiliano Quintero of Mexico.
