Carol Hollyfield, 73, of Abilene passed away, Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 18, 2017 in North's Memorial Chapel with Wes Terry officiating. Burial will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St. Carol was born on June 16, 1943 in Belton, South Carolina to James W Johnson and Thelma Jo (Strickland) Johnson. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Thelma Jo Johnson and her son Gene Jennings. She is survived by her loving husband and caregiver, Ed Hollyfield. Additionally, she is survived by three daughters and a son, Sammie Rogers, of Belton, South Carolina, William Jennings, of Belton, South Carolina, Susan Lusk and husband Jerry of Honea Path, South Carolina, and Joy Nelson and husband Don of Little Elm, Texas. She was also the very proud granny of Shawn, Travis, Todd, Avery, Chris, Jarad, Gene, Trey, Cassie, Donovan, Bailee, Wyatt, and twelve great-grandchildren.
