Carol Ann Pena, 67 years old, of Abilene, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 8, 2023 in Abilene Texas. A Viewing will be at 6:00p.m. on Friday March 17, 2023 at North's Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 18, 2023 at North's Funeral Home at 12:00p.m. with Pastor King, officiating. Burial will follow at Elliott-Hamil Garden Of Memories Cemetery. Services are under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street in Abilene ,TX 79604. Carol Ann Pena was born in Temple, TX to Willie Turner and Mary Rebecca Austin on January 26, 1956. She graduated from GT School of Dental Lab in 1990. She worked for Coronado Nursing Home as a CNA for over 10 years. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, dominos, family gatherings and was a great cook. Carol Ann Pena was preceded in death by parents, Willie Turner and Mary Rebecca Austin; sisters, Marie Turner- Morrison, Janette Sullivan, Lizzie Roberta Morgan, Mary Helen Thompson, Dorothy Nell Hunter; brothers Willie Turner Jr., Daniel Turner and Charles Turner Carol Ann Pena is survived by her husband Gilbert Pena of 16 years; sister, Floretta Turner; brother; John Turner. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be; Mike Brodnax, Tyrone Beaver, Sherman Hunter, Brenton Hunter, Guy Bruce and Terry Gameburger.
