Carrie (Beth) Jones, age 93, passed away on October 8th after a long battle with Dementia. Beth was born in Lamesa, TX on Oct. 25, 1925 to Carl and Lucille Putman. She married Kelly Preston Jones, Jr. in 1945 and they had two daughters, Kelly and Angela. Her husband passed away in 1961. Beth was a strong independent woman that raised her two daughters while also running her own beauty salon business. She was a Cosmetologist for 40 years. Beth lived in Abilene to be around her grandchildren and then moved to Colorado Springs in 2004 to be with her other two grandchildren. Beth loved her family unconditionally and helped raise her grandchildren. She was called "Nanny" by her family and everyone that loved her. Beth was preceded in death by her husband, both parents and her brother, Carl. Left to cherish her memories are one brother Johnny Putman and his wife, Jan of Glendale, Arizona, two daughters, Kelly Berry and husband, Bill of Cross Roads, TX, Angela Reeves and husband, Dave of Colorado Springs, CO. Grandchildren, John Lomax Jr. and wife, Emily, Bonnie Brown and husband, Robert, Beau Reeves and wife, Annie, Trace Reeves and wife, Lauren and Ashley Wasinger. Great Grandchildren, Wyatt, Emme, Skylar, Landon, Colin, Piper, Millie, Caden and Trinidy. Graveside services will be held on Saturday October 19th at 12:00pm at Elmwood Cemetery in Abilene, TX.
