Cecil Rodriguez, age 67 of Abilene passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021. Visitation will be on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 5pm to 7pm at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St., Abilene. Graveside services will be 2pm Tuesday at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene. Cecil was born on April 21, 1954 in San antonio, Texas to Daniel and Oralia Rodriguez. He entered the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17 and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He then joined the United States Army serving until 1991 and then the Army National Guard until 2000. Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Oralia Rodriguez and his sister Elida Marentes. He is survived by brother, Adolfo Martinez and wife Maria of Abilene; sister, Marie Reyna of Abilene; nieces, Rebecca Martinez, Brandi Flores and Kelli Marentes, all of Abilene; nephews, Felipe Martinez, Adam Martinez and Victor Villareal all of Abilene and many other nieces and nephews.
