Charles Calvin Allmand, Jr. went to be with our Lord on October 17, 2021 at the age of 64. He passed at Hendricks Hospital South in Abilene surrounded by his family. Charles was born in Abilene, TX on July 28, 1957. He was a 20-year Veteran of the United States Air Force and his years of service were some of his proudest. While in the military, Charles pursed his teaching degree and graduated from McMurry University with honors. He taught at the middle school and high school levels. Charles spent his free time leading the Boy Scouts where he took the children on several adventures. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Charles had a huge heart and was an instant friend to everyone that he met. Charles's family was his biggest joy, and never a moment went by that he didn't't let them know what they meant to him. Charles was most proud to be called a father and Pawpaw. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Washburn Allmand and Charles Calvin Allmand, Sr.. Charles is survived by his wife, Rose Allmand, sons Thomas and wife Elizabeth, Phillip and wife Jen, Jeff and wife Dawn, step-children Robert Rozela and wife Denna, Ben and Shadrick Rozela Sarah Lamberth and husband JJ, and Jamie Sims, grandchildren Christine Allmand, Thomas C. Allmand, Carolyn Allmand, Kaylee Allmand, Hunter Smith, Georgina Rendon and husband Victor, Joseph Spradley, Rosemary Schaffer, Hannah Rozela, Ashley Lewis, Brianna Rozela, Kristopher Peterson, Greysen Sims, and several great grandchildren. Charles lived his life to the fullest, and even though he is no longer with his, our memories of him will be with us forever.
