Charles W. Briley 72 of Abilene passed away Friday July 31 2009. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church with Kevin Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Sunday at North's Memorial Chapel. Mr. Briley was born March 27 1937 to Carl and Lorena (Ward) Briley in Abilene Texas. He married Vada Hall on December 12 1958 in Abilene. They celebrated their 50th. Anniversary on December 12 2008. He worked for Ammons Conoco Service Station for fifteen years. He retired from Lone Star Gas/TXU as a leak inspector and pipeline inspector after 28 years. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Wanda Briley. He is survived his wife Vada. Four children; Carol Darnell and husband Rich Gaboury John Briley and wife Lisa Randy and David Briley. Four grandchildren nine great-grandchildren and one brother Gene.
