Charlotte Maxine Montgomery passed away in Abilene on April 27 2012.  Graveside services will be at the Downing Cemetery in De Leon Texas on Monday July 9 2012 at 10:00 a.m.  Officiating will be the Reverend Stephen Schulte with arrangements by North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street of Abilene .   Born Charlotte Maxine Lund August 12 1920 in Fountain Green Utah to Wilford and Myrtle Lund .  She had three brothers one sister two step brothers and one step sister.  She met Monte Montgomery the love of her life in Modesto California .  They were married June 3 1939.  They lived in San Francisco Yuba City and Chico California .  Monte was a foreman at Newhall Land and Farm until he retired.  Charlotte worked at Chico Community Hospital until she retired.  Monte was from Rotan Texas and decided to retire in Comanche Texas in 1981.    Charlotte was preceded in death by Monte in 2006; two sons Ronald who died as an infant and Jim.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Geralyn and Dale Dalrymple of Chico California and their children Daren Dalrymple and Lora Fox; a nephew and his wife John and Karen Snapp of Abilene and their children John Paul and Tom Snapp and Jacinda Young; grandsons Greg Todd Douglas and Shean Montgomery numerous great- grandchildren nieces and nephews.    Charlotte will be warmly remembered for many things including her love of family her sewing quilting and cooking.   On-line condolences may be made at www.northsfuneralhome.com
