Chester Jack "Tony" Hilburn 69 of Abilene went to be with the Lord on Monday October 6 2008. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at North's Memorial Chapel with David Cason officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange St. Tony was born to Chester and Minnie Belle Hilburn on December 27 1938. He married Sue McGaugh in September 1957 in Baird Texas. He worked as a salesman at Montgomery Wards for thirty-three years. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Sue Hilburn. Two daughters; Pam Washburn and husband Jim of Abilene and Tracy Franklin and husband Kevin of Abilene. Two brothers; Charles and Davee Hilburn both of Garland Texas. Three grandchildren Dustin Washburn Rusty Washburn and Tony Washburn. He had many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the West Texas Rehab Center of Abilene.
