Clarence Brown Jr. 69 of Abilene passed away Saturday, November 13th, 2021 in Abilene. Graveside service will be held Tuesday November 23, 2021 at 11am at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Clarence Jr. was born April 11, 1952 in Abilene TX to parents Clarence Brown Sr. and Margaret Nellums. He received his primary education from Abilene schools. After high school Clarence served in the United States Air Force. After serving in the military Clarence started a career in truck driving. In his spare time he would love spending time with friends and family. Clarence accepted christ at an early age and was a member of the New Light Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memories are sons: Mario Brown of Abilene, TX, Adrian Brown of Arlington, TX, Clarence Brown III of Abilene, TX, daughters; Aricka Pennye of Tuscon AZ, Tamara Brown of Abilene, TX, sisters: Ardelia Brown of Big Spring, TX, Patsy Brown of Big Spring, TX, Georgia Carson of San Antonio, TX, Mary Palmore of Las Vegas NV. brother, Jimmy Brown of Big Spring, TX. friend George Mason of Dallas TX, long time partner Laverne Smith of Abilene, TX. numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Clarence was preceded in death by mother Margaret Ghant, father Clarence Earl Brown Sr. step mother Patsy Brown, brother Charles Earl Brown, and aunt Alma Zella Nellums.
