Obituary

Claudine Faith Boggs passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023. Faith was born May 19, 1935, in Gorman, Texas to Bruce White and Mary Eunice Lasater. When she was six years old, her family relocated to Eastland, Texas where her father owned and operated the Eastland Steam Laundry. Faith attended Eastland schools and played first chair clarinet and bass clarinet in the Maverick Band. Faith accepted the Lord as her Savior at a young age and was an active member of First Baptist Church in Eastland, Texas. As a teenager, she submitted her life for special Christian service and attended Ridgecrest Baptist Encampment in North Carolina. Faith was later a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church in Eastland. After graduating from Eastland High School, she worked for the county and later for Eastland National Bank. She attended Cisco Junior College when she met her future husband, Norman J. Boggs who was a drill instructor at Lackland Air Force Base and they were married March 17, 1956. The couple lived in San Antonio, Texas and while there, she worked at the Federal Reserve Branch of San Antonio. After her husband completed his military service, they moved to Austin, Texas where she was employed by a local bank. After they moved to Abilene, Texas, Faith was employed by First National Bank of Abilene and KCAD Radio, providing helpful hints for homemakers. A wonderful mother, she enjoyed volunteering and served at West Texas Rehabilitation Center and later Humana Hospital in Abilene. Norman and Faith continued to spread the Word in various aspects of their life. Faith never met a stranger and could often be found befriending people in the grocery store and praying with them. She is survived by her son, Dr. N. Jim Boggs and daughter, Gerri Wright, as well as her many grandchildren, Michelle & TC Campodonico, Brianna & Ross Whitfield, Jared Boggs, Blake Williams and Brittany Williams. Faith also has ten great grandchildren. Faith was preceded in death by her husband, Norman J. Boggs, late banker of Abilene, Texas. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11am at the Eastland Cemetery in Eastland, Texas under the direction of North's Funeral Home.
