Clifford Glenn Barbee, 89, of Abilene, TX passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019. Glenn was born on August 10, 1929 in Goodlett, TX to his parents, Flonoy Barbee and Gladys Akers Barbee. He graduated from Quanah High in 1946. He married Joyce Griffin in December 1947 and they lived in Goodlett, TX. For many years they lived in the West Texas area working as an accountant for the cotton and grain industries. After retiring they moved to Abilene, TX in 1994. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and playing with his grandkids. Glenn is survived by his daughters Sue Daniels and husband Danny, Kathy Lawson and husband Jim. He is also survived by 4 grandsons, 9 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Joyce, his parents, one brother and one granddaughter. Pall bearers will be his grandsons. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, July 21, 2019 at North's Funeral Home at 242 Orange St. in Abilene from 5-7 pm. The funeral will take place at 10:00 am on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the chapel of North's Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Goodlett Cemetery in Goodlett, TX with graveside services to be held at 3 pm.
