Clifton Thomas Sr. 80 of Abilene, TX passed away Saturday May 16, 2020 in Abilene. Graveside services will be held Wednesday May 20, 2020 at 11am with Rev. C.E. Sims officiating. Family visitation will be held Tuesday May 19, 2020 from 5-7pm at the North's Funeral Home Chapel. Clifton was Born March 30, 1940 in Olton, Texas to Sara Barton-Thomas and George Thomas. Clifton received his primary education from Olton public Schools. Clifton moved to Abilene in 1959 when he married Alvia Jane Sims. He worked in the Roofing industry for many years with Lydick Roofing Co. before starting a career with Acco Feeds. He retired from Acco Feeds in 2010 after 28 years. Clifton was a outgoing person who loved to have a good time. He loved his children, and treated everyone as his own. In his younger years he enjoyed playing Baseball, and he loved being around family and friends. Clifton was preceded in death by parents; George Thomas and Sarah Barton-Thomas, wife Mary Sue Carroll Thomas, Sister Mary Jean Thomas, daughter Rene Thomas, and sons: Reginald B. Thomas, and Michael V. Thomas Left to cherish his memories are son: Steve Thomas (Rose), Clifton Thomas Jr. both of Abilene, Texas. sister; Annie Faye Jackson (Uwell) of Forth Worth, TX, Brothers;George Ray Thomas of Kansas City KS.
