Cynthia J. Mullen 65 of Abilene passed away Sunday July 24, 2022. Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 27, 2022 at 11am at North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday July 26, from 5-7pm at North's Funeral Home.

Cynthia was born September 18, 1956 in Wichita Falls, Texas to LaNell Cato and James Turnbow, then was lovingly placed with her parents Henry and Virginia Nauert, where she would spend her life growing up in Abilene, Texas.

Cindy was not happy being an only child and begged her parents for a sibling. She was blessed with her baby sister Linda, who was her pride and joy.

She was married to the love of her life, Billy Don Mullen I on February 28, 1975. Cindy's greatest blessings were her children and grandchildren. Cindy spent many years providing loving care for her clients at Jordan Health Care. She was a devoted mother and "Nana", she loved Jesus and was a "second mom" and safe haven to all of her children's friends and neighborhood kids. Her doors were always open and no one ever went hungry.

Cynthia was preceded in death by both her parents Henry and Virginia Nauert; her husband Bill Mullen I; two sisters: Sherrie Davis and LaResa Turnbow and her very special grandson, Christipher Salazar.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Jennifer Benavides (Michael)of Buffalo Gap, Tx; Brandie Rodriguez (Jose) of Abilene, Texas; Crystal Mullen (Johnny) of Abilene, Texas; Billy Don Mullen II (Tammi) of Abilene, Texas; Jo-El McClelland of Abilene, Texas; Thomas Mullen (Marisol) of Murrietta, CA; Elaine Nokshiqi (Jimmy) of Abilene, Texas and Rachel Oglesbee (Jacob) of Abilene, Texas; 30 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; sisters: Linda DeValpine (Jack) of Boston, MA; Tracy Boswell (Jeff) of Scotland, Texas; Belinda Turnbow Chancey (Johnny ) of Conroe, Texas; and two very special sisters, her best friends:Fran Read (John) of Panama City, Florida and Penny Kay Booker of Abilene, Texas; she also had numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

At Cindy's request, her honorary pallbearers are: Gabriel Moreno, Isaiah Moreno, Albert Salazar II, Henry Mullen, Judas Mullen, AJ Barnett Jr., Michael Benavides, Rodney Gard and Johnattan Lozada.
